'Tis the season of summer festival and the first weekend of August is no exception.
Like every cool satellite downtown neighborhood, Inglewood has it's own one day summer festival, featuring all the best the community has to offer.
A fashionable highlight of this event is local boutique espy's first fashion show with Eye on Design featuring Canada Next Top Model contestant Nikita (she finished third!). And on top of that there will be a patio party after!

Birthday present: tiredness!.

Hallo ihr Lieben!

Leider konnte ich euch keine Zwischenberichte liefern, denn ich war die letzten drei Tage non-stop nur am schleppen, auspacken und einräumen.
Außerdem: Keinen Schlaf und kein Internet gehabt ...
Heute Nacht sind wir dann zu Hause angekommen, mit dem Vorsatz laaaaaaange zu schlafen!
Um ca. 7:00 Uhr heute morgen, wurde ich dann allerdings von meinem "Schwager in Spe" mit einem "Happy Birthday!" geweckt.

Da es nicht einmal der Kaffee schafft mich richtig wach zu rütteln, habe ich mich dazu entschieden, mich nun noch einmal ins Bett zu legen und somit einfach meinen 21. Geburtstag halb zu verschlafen. Na wenn das mal nichts ist! ;)
Falls ich heute doch noch in der Lage sein sollte etwas "feierliches" anzugehen, folgen natürlich noch Bilder meines heutigen Outfits ... meinen "Schlabberlook" möchte ich euch ansonsten nicht antun ;)

26th of july designer Marina Smirnova from Moscow with her label “INSHADE” and Olga Samoschenko from Minsk were presented in a fashion show on the large stage at SHOWCASE DÜSSELDORF.

INSHADE
The new summer collection by designer Maria Smirnova is inspired by multi-cultural mixtures. The urban style is combined with a classical minimal cut rounded off with voluminous accessories. Here the designer presents a variety of textile technologies in modern fabrics and with complex styles. The basic colours of the collection are powder, skin tone, black, grey, chestnut and milky white.









Olga Samoschenko
Hailing from Belarus Olga Samoschenko drew on the sensual and elegant stylistics of Art-Déco for her current 2010 summer collection combining this with a magnificent array of colour. She knows exactly how to dress her customers for any occasion – whether practical and down-to-earth or unaffected and magnificent. The colour spectrum ranges from chocolate brown and emerald green through to deep black – while scarlet red and icy white create beautifying accents.

Pandora

The photos for the Versace Catalogue Winter 1998 where made by Steven Meisel. All are dealing in a mysterious manner with mythological subjects. It’s not mentioned what characters Meisel had in mind when he arranged his photos. But this one reminds a lot of Pandora.

Pandora the curious girl with his box who brings all the evils to mankind as can be seen on this painting from 1894 by the British artist Henrietta Rae (1859-1928).

The Wish List

I love these tote bags designed by Oonagh O'Hagen for Browns focus.
On each simple white bag is a print of a luxury designer bag, such as Louis Vuitton and the words "I am not a Vuitton bag."
It's a parody of the very popular "I'm not a plastic bag" Anya Hindmarch designed a couple of years back which you could get for just a fiver at Sainsbury's.

My favourite out of the range has to be the Chanel 2.55 one though (see bottom photo)

I am definitely adding these to my wish list!

Well yes, the costume designs for Ugly Betty are done by none other than the Patricia Field, who in case you didn’t already know is the genius behind the wardrobes in Sex and the City, The Devil Wears Prada and also Confessions of a Shopaholic.
So yes here is my unlikely style inspiration this week and I am taking inspiration from Betty's clashing patterns, quirky accessories, bright colours and cute sweaters...

TENDENCIA: Gafas 2009/ 2010

Últimamente se me están pasando muy rápido los días, y eso no me da tiempo a nada.

Recién terminé de ordenar mi habitación, se me pasó demasiado rápido el tiempo.

Cada tanto me agarra el ataque por ordenar todo, pero en general soy muy desordenada, pero yo me entiendo.

A veces trato de ser ordenada, guardo las cosas en "el lugar en donde se supone que deben estar", y después no encuentro nada,

miles de veces me pasó, por eso prefiero ser desordenada, lo mío no tiene remedio... ya soy así.

Y si trato de cambiar me pierdo, me olvido y después no ubico las cosas.

Una vez busqué por todos lados mi documento, y yo estaba segura que lo tenía en donde lo dejaba siempre, al final lo dí por perdido.

Después mi hermano menor lo encontró buscando una lapicera en mi cuarto, lo peor de todo es que el DNI estaba en donde mi mamá me había dicho que lo guarde, pero claro yo que me iba a acordar?? xD

A partir de ese día supe que no tengo porqué cambiar, si yo soy así, y me entiendo, para qué cambiar? para hacer feliz a mi mamá? no hahaha xD

Hace rato que estaba leyendo un libro (La reina de la casa de Kisella Sophie) ,

pasaron los meses y terminó archivado y sin uso en mi computadora.

Bueno, ayer lo terminé de leer, se los super recomiendo, a mi personalmente me gustó mucho.

Pasemos a hablar de las Wayfarer, a qué famosa no vimos llevándolas?

Todo el mundo las tenía, fue como la revolución wayfarer, bueno, ahora por suerte se acabo.

Nunca me gustaron esas gafas, no les voy a mentir, me parecían muy simplonas.

Cuál la reemplaza? las clubmaster, también de Ray Ban.
