The other day Mr. AIF and I ventured down to Victoria's Fisherman's Wharf to get some seafood for dinner, and this is what I wore... It seemed like a perfectly good idea at the time, but I didn't bank on all the incredulous stares my pants would garner when I put them on that morning. Who knows, maybe people thought they were pajama pants or something... Regardless, they weren't exactly well received. I guess it's a good thing I can handle a strange look or two in the name of fashion, huh?

Wayfarers and Jumpers...

Well hello! How is everyone today? I'm about to go shopping with my mumsy (fun!), so needless to say I'm pretty excited... But before I do, I'll leave you with some pics taken a couple of days ago while exploring/enjoying the glorious sunshine.

We ventured up Gonzales Hill, which boasts one of Victoria's best views... There's a strange, stark white building there (I think it was a weather station or something), which proved to be a great backdrop for photos... And if you can remember back that far, I've actually taken photos there before!

The Garden Party...

Hi everyone! So after about a week of being on the road and living out of a suitcase, I'm finally home and settling in as best as I can... Finally. It's been a long, tiring trip, but so worth it to be able to stop and see so many family members along the way.

We snapped these photos while visiting with Mr. AIF's family and friends in Vancouver... His mom took us to the incredibly beautiful VanDusen Gardens, a 55 acre slice of botanical heaven. I sorta feel like I've got a mad hatter vibe going on here, like I'm about to run off to a delightful little garden tea party or something... Are you getting that at all or is it just me? Hmmm...

Anyway, I bought this dress a little while ago at Forever 21, but wasn't feeling the floral print that day, so I tried to "toughen it up" by pairing it with black accessories... much better. Do you think this dress was in one of the bags that day? I still have to figure out the prize for the person who guesses correctly the most this month, but I'm thinking some kind of jewelry... alright ;)

Still Waters...

Hi lovelies! How is everyone? I hope you guys are having a lovely Thursday morning!

We took these photos on the first day of our epic road trip home to Victoria from Edmonton... Isn't the scenery amazing? The water was actually completely frozen, which was beautiful and eerie all at once, and the wind was something else. We let our kitten out for a bit to explore (on her little leash, of course), but the wind scared her so much it was a short-lived jaunt... Poor little thing!

Do you recognize this dress? I had babbled on about it in video form a few Wardrobe Wednesdays ago, and if you can believe it, this was the first time I had actually worn it! It proved to be the perfect road trip attire though, and it was definitely worth the wait... But was it in one of those bags at the time the photo was taken? Hmmm, what a curio...

Track Star...

Happy Monday, lovelies! I hope everyone had a nice, relaxing weekend... I know I did!

We decided to go get Eastery cupcakes on Saturday morning, and along the way we noticed this cute little train off the side of the road.... Since our trusty camera was in tow, we figured it would be the perfect place for some outfit pics!

The skirt and top are new purchases that I bought while shopping with Shy and Jenna last week, and believe it or not, this is the first polka dot skirt I've ever owned! I've always wanted one (hello, ultimate basic!), but for whatever reason had never found one I liked before... Thanks Zara! And if you'll kindly direct your eyes to the abalone pendant hanging from my neck, you'll notice my absolutely FAVOURITE new thing!! I've wanted this House of Harlow necklace for, oh I don't know, forever, but finally broke down and got one off Shop Bop a little while ago... A-mazing! It arrived on the last day of classes, which was pretty much the greatest treat ever... My UPS karma has been restored!
